I'm very very proud to be part of this event. For a long time, I've been thinking about how we can communicate the importance of sustainability in our everyday lives. This workshop -- featuring presentations by my peers in the fashion industry, an interactive discussion with the audience and a rare chance to shop for purely ecological friendly fashion pieces -- is the result of months of deliberation. We're going to be addressing the all-important "why" be sustainable, together with the equally important "how"...and all of this through fashion and our consumption patterns. It'll be fun and very enlightening, I promise.
The event costs 50 sgd and comes with loads of yummies: canapes and an extremely generous goodie bag (including a free gemstone!). The 50 sgd is fully reedemable for any purchase from the fashion brands that day: Terra Plana, Jujube and Choo Yilin Artisan Jewellery.
Update: As we have intended The Sustainable Luxury Design Workshop to be an all-inclusive event, we have decided to waive the admission fee to make it accessible to all interested parties to attend. Instead, we will encourage attendees to manage their own food and beverage consumption on the day.
Choo Yilin is a multiple international award-winning jewellery label seeking to fuse sustainability with luxury; using jewellery design to communicate important social, environmental and cultural messages.
